Our commitment
Xive has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These Child Safety Standards apply to the Xive app, the Xive Hub app and thexive.com (together, “Xive”), which are operated by Velaris Management Group, the developer of Xive on Google Play and the App Store.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), are prohibited everywhere on Xive: in live streams, videos, shorts, images, posts, comments, direct messages, chat, profiles, hubs and every other feature. These Standards are part of the Xive Terms of Service and Community Standards, and they apply to every account without exception.
What is prohibited
A “child” or “minor” means anyone under 18. The following are prohibited on Xive, whether real, drawn, animated, digitally altered or AI-generated:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any sexual depiction of a minor, or content that sexualizes a minor.
- Sharing, requesting, selling, trading or linking to CSAM, or directing anyone to where it can be found.
- Grooming: building contact or trust with a minor for a sexual purpose, on or off Xive.
- Sextortion: threatening or coercing a minor, or anyone, using sexual images of a minor.
- Soliciting sexual content, sexual contact or a meeting from a minor.
- Child sex trafficking, or any commercial sexual exploitation of a child.
- Content that promotes, normalizes or excuses the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
Xive is for adults
You must be at least 18 years old to use Xive. We verify age at sign-up, and an account that shows its holder is under 18 is closed. Accounts we find to belong to a minor are removed.
How we detect and prevent CSAE
- Images on Xive’s media network are automatically hash-matched against databases of known child sexual abuse material, and a match is blocked.
- New uploads are automatically screened, and anything flagged is sent to our moderators for human review.
- Reports from users are reviewed by our moderators.
How to report
- In the app or on thexive.com: use Report on the content or the account.
- By email: [email protected], our child safety point of contact.
- In the United States you can also report directly to NCMEC’s CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678. In Canada, report to Cybertip.ca.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US and Canada) first.
What we do
When we find or are told about child sexual abuse or exploitation on Xive, we:
- Remove the content.
- Permanently ban the accounts involved, and any account created to get around the ban.
- Preserve the relevant information as the law requires.
- Report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to Cybertip.ca, and to law enforcement, as required by law.
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
Content confirmed to involve the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child is never restored on appeal.
Compliance with law
Xive complies with applicable child safety laws, including the obligation of US providers to report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) and Canada’s mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse material by Internet service providers.
