Monetization & Payouts

Version 3.0 Last updated 2026-08-12

Overview

This policy explains how creators earn money on Xive and how that money reaches them. The Xive platform is owned and operated by Velaris Management Group LLC, a Kentucky limited liability company (“Xive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The monetisation surfaces we offer today are gifts and Sparks sent during posts and live streams, and creator subscriptions. We do not currently run an advertising revenue share or a brand-campaign programme; if we add one, this policy and the in-product disclosures will be updated first.

Viewers buy credits, then spend credits on gifts and Sparks. One credit has a nominal value of one United States cent. Credits are purchased with a card through Stripe on the web, or through the App Store or Google Play in our mobile apps.

  • Nothing here guarantees that a programme will remain available, priced the same way, or offered in every region.
  • You must follow our Community Standards, Enforcement Policy, and Streaming Compliance rules while earning; policy breaches can pause or remove monetisation even where earnings are already pending.
  • How we process payout-related personal data is described in our Privacy Policy; how long we keep financial records is covered by our Data Retention Policy.

How a payment is split

The arithmetic below is what the platform actually applies to every settled transaction:

  • The payment processor’s or app store’s fee is deducted from the gross amount first.
  • Xive retains a platform share of 20% of the remaining net proceeds.
  • The creator receives the other 80%, recorded in the creator earnings ledger.
  • Half of the creator’s 80% is placed in reserve at the moment it is earned. The other half is available immediately.
  • Reserved amounts are released to the available balance 14 days after they were earned.

The reserve exists so that refunds, chargebacks, and fraud reversals can be absorbed without clawing back money a creator has already been paid. It is not a fee: unless a reversal or a policy breach consumes it, the full reserved amount becomes available on schedule.

Dashboards show gross and net figures. The amount that reaches your bank account is the available balance less any payout fees charged by our payout provider.

Eligibility and verification

Payouts run through Stripe Connect. Before any money can move, Stripe must complete its identity, bank account, and tax verification for you — these are “know your customer,” sanctions, and tax-reporting obligations that we and our payment partners are required to satisfy.

  • You must be at least 18 and resident in a country Stripe supports for the payout type you select.
  • Tax forms (such as the W-9 or W-8 series where applicable) and proof of control over the payout method may be required.
  • We may delay onboarding, cap balances, or withhold payouts until verification succeeds or an open risk signal is resolved.
  • Providing false documents or using another person’s account violates this policy and may lead to permanent loss of monetisation and forfeiture of disputed balances where the law allows.

Payout timing and holds

You can request a payout of your available balance. Minimum withdrawal amounts, supported rails, and instant-payout availability are shown in the creator wallet, and instant payouts additionally depend on our own settled balance being sufficient to cover all outstanding creator liability with a safety margin. When it is not, instant payout is unavailable until it is — standard payouts are unaffected.

  • We may extend holds or place additional reserves when chargeback rates rise, when a channel is new, or when automated systems flag unusual traffic.
  • Legal freezes, garnishments, or regulatory inquiries can pause disbursements until we receive lawful instructions.
  • If you close your account with a positive balance, we pay out according to the closure flow in-product, subject to the final reserve and chargeback windows.

Refunds, chargebacks, and recovery

Credit purchases are final and non-refundable once delivered, except where a refund is required by law or granted by the app store you purchased through. A gift, once sent, cannot be recalled by the sender.

  • Chargebacks, refunds, and reversed transactions reduce net earnings and can create a negative balance, which we may recover from future earnings.
  • Money earned through manipulation, infringement, illegal activity, or breach of our policies is not yours to keep, and we cooperate with payment partners when they require reversals.
  • Serious or repeated abuse may result in withholding all pending balances pending investigation, not just the disputed portion.
  • You may appeal a monetisation suspension through our Appeals Process.

Taxes

You are responsible for determining, reporting, and remitting your own income, sales, or value-added taxes on what you earn, unless a jurisdiction explicitly shifts collection to Xive or to the app store through which a purchase was made. We withhold or remit only where we are legally required to do so. Tax documentation issued in connection with payouts comes from our payout provider.

Disclosure obligations

If you promote a product, accept sponsorship, or publish paid content on Xive, you must obey applicable advertising and consumer-protection law — including clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections, spoken or on-screen in video and live streams rather than buried in a caption. Do not make false comparative claims, hide risks, or promote restricted categories where law or our policies forbid it.
