Overview
This policy applies when you use Velaris Management Group LLC (“Xive”) live or replayed streaming features—whether you broadcast from our in-app tools or from an external encoder workflow where we offer one. It sits alongside the Terms of Service, Community Standards, Content Ownership & Licensing, Monetization & Payouts (when you earn on stream), and our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy for how we log and retain stream-related data.
- If a rule appears in more than one place, the stricter or more specific rule for streaming usually governs live behavior.
- How we enforce strikes, suspensions, or appeals is described in our Enforcement Policy and Appeals Process.
- Product-only limits (bitrate, delay, labels, or region locks) may appear in-app and change without a full policy version bump; this document states the compliance principles behind those controls.
Authorized use
Streaming is permitted only for accounts and programs in good standing, using credentials and ingest paths we issue or authorize. You may not sublicense stream keys, share unattended broadcast access, or route our signal to destinations we prohibit in your agreements or in-product terms.
- One active authorized session per creator or channel where the product enforces that rule; respect session-bound authorization when we describe it in the UI.
- Do not attempt to bypass geo-fencing, rights windows, paywalls, or parental controls tied to a stream.
- Commercial or sponsored segments must follow disclosure rules in our Monetization & Payouts policy and applicable advertising law.
Prohibited streaming conduct
Live distribution amplifies harm quickly. The list below is illustrative, not exhaustive; our Community Standards remain the primary catalog of disallowed content and conduct.
- Illegal content; non-consensual intimate imagery; sexualization of minors; or sexual solicitation.
- Incitement, credible threats, or instructions to commit violence, terrorism, or serious self-harm.
- Copyright, trademark, or publicity-right violations—including rebroadcasting protected events, linear channels, or subscription feeds without rights.
- Circumvention of technical controls; abuse of ingest or relay infrastructure; credential stuffing or key sharing that undermines access controls.
- Simulcasting or restreaming to unauthorized destinations when your Xive terms or program rules prohibit it.
- Deceptive metadata, viewbotting, reward farming, or other manipulation of rankings, payouts, or trust signals.
- Harassment, hateful conduct, or doxxing directed at guests, chat participants, or off-platform targets when tied to your broadcast.
Safety tools and creator responsibility
We may offer chat moderation, keyword filters, delay, co-host or moderator roles, reporting, and emergency interruption or takedown workflows. Availability varies by surface and region.
- You are responsible for configuring tools that match your audience size, topic, and risk profile—especially for minors in chat or for high-conflict topics.
- Moderators and co-hosts act in your name; their instructions should align with these rules and the Community Standards.
- If you become aware of imminent danger shown on stream, follow local emergency guidance and use in-product safety reporting where available.
Music, guests, and third-party material
Background tracks, samples, clips, slides, games, and guest performances require valid licenses and, where needed, written releases. A social-platform license for a track does not always cover live performance or replay in every territory.
- Rights holders or automated systems may cause muting, geo-blocking, removal of archives, or demonetization of affected segments.
- You indemnify and cooperate with takedown or counter-notice processes described in the Terms and Content Ownership & Licensing when disputes arise.
Age-restricted and sensitive topics
Mature themes, gambling-like mechanics, graphic violence, medical procedures, or conflict-zone journalism can trigger extra duties under our policies and local law.
- Use age gates, content labels, and warnings the product provides; do not evade them.
- Do not sexualize or endanger minors, even “fictionally” or through avatars.
- Graphic real-world harm may be limited or removed when gratuitous, exploitative, or likely to retraumatize viewers without clear journalistic or educational context.
Monitoring, enforcement, and preservation
We use a combination of automated signals, trusted flaggers, user reports, and human review for live and replayed streams. We may cut a feed, insert interstitials, age-restrict an archive, or suspend monetization without prior notice when the risk of harm is acute.
- We may preserve stream metadata, thumbnails, chat logs, and short excerpts as evidence for enforcement, legal defense, or regulatory response, subject to our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy.
