Purpose and scope
Xive is built for creators, viewers, and communities—across feeds, video, live streaming, messaging, and monetization. These Community Standards (“Standards”) describe how we keep the platform safe, lawful, and worthy of people’s time and trust. They are part of the Xive Terms of Service by reference.
We wrote them to be readable: each section states what we prohibit or expect, often with concrete examples. If something is unclear, contact us at the address at the end of this document.
- Treat other people as real: harassment and hate have no place here.
- Protect safety—especially in live formats where harm can unfold in real time.
- Protect integrity: be honest about who you are and what you publish.
- When rules conflict with law, law wins; when product rules are stricter than these Standards, follow the product.
These Standards apply to every surface where people can express or distribute content: live streams, short- and long-form video, images, audio, posts, comments, direct messages, profiles, thumbnails, titles, tags, links, chat, emotes, overlays, alerts, text-to-speech, and any future feature with similar risk.
How we enforce
We use both automated systems and trained human reviewers. Severity, intent, repetition, and risk to others all matter. We may remove content, label it, restrict distribution, limit features, pause monetization, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts. Automated decisions can be reviewed by people where our Appeals Process applies.
- First-time or low-risk mistakes may receive a warning or limited restriction.
- Serious harm, illegal content, or sexual content involving minors can lead to immediate removal and account termination.
- Patterns of abuse or attempts to evade enforcement usually increase penalties.

Violence, harm, and dangerous conduct
Content that normalizes, instructs, or coordinates serious violence is not allowed. We also restrict graphic material that exists primarily to shock rather than to inform.
- Graphic violence, torture, or terrorism shown for glorification or entertainment.
- Instructions to make weapons, explosives, or to harm people or animals.
- Content that encourages self-harm or suicide; we may surface crisis resources where appropriate.
- Glorification of violent extremism or terror groups.
Narrow exceptions may exist for documented news, education, or accountability—where the law and our enforcement policies allow. Such content may still be age-restricted, geo-blocked, or removed in some regions.
Harassment, hate, and discrimination
Debate and strong opinions are fine; abuse is not. Do not target a person or a group for intimidation, pile-ons, sexual harassment, or threats—including through subtweets, raids, or off-platform coordination aimed at someone on Xive.
- Slurs, dehumanizing comparisons, or hateful stereotypes aimed at race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or serious disease.
- Publishing private addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or schools to encourage harassment (“doxxing” patterns).
- Sexual comments or advances toward someone who has made it clear they are unwelcome.
- Impersonation intended to mislead, defame, or extract money or access.
Satire and commentary are allowed when the primary purpose is not to harass or spread hate. If the line is unclear, we weigh context, targets, and outcome.
Sexual content and exploitation
We have zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors, grooming behavior, or facilitation of trafficking. Adult sexual content may be limited by age gates, creator settings, product rules, or regional law—follow labels and in-product controls.
- Any sexual depiction of minors; sexualized framing of minors; grooming or predatory conduct.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (“revenge porn”) or threats to distribute it.
- Coercion, trafficking, or facilitation of prostitution where it is unlawful.
When in doubt, choose the safer option: do not stream, post, or host guests who may violate these rules.
Illegal and regulated goods and services
Xive is not a marketplace for crime. Do not use the service to sell, solicit, or arrange illegal goods or services, or to teach people how to evade enforcement.
- Illegal drugs, counterfeit currency, stolen data, or stolen accounts.
- Weapons sales or transfers where unlawful; instructions for unlawful weapons.
- Fraud, Ponzi schemes, phishing, or instructions to bypass payment or safety systems.
- Human exploitation, including forced labor or sexual exploitation.
Integrity, spam, and manipulation
People should be able to trust what they see: who you are, what is live versus recorded, and whether engagement is real.
- Misrepresenting identity, credentials, or sponsorships.
- Synthetic or manipulated media presented as real events without clear disclosure when that would mislead a reasonable viewer.
- Fake engagement: viewbots, follow-for-follow schemes, or coordinated inauthentic reporting.
- Bulk unsolicited messages, reply spam, or scraping that degrades the product for others.
Creators are responsible for disclosures required by law and by our monetization and advertising rules.
Privacy and respect for others’ information
Do not publish someone else’s secrets, credentials, medical records, or financial details without a legitimate public-interest reason. Respect copyright, trademark, and privacy rights.
- Leaked passwords, API keys, or government IDs.
- Private communications shared to humiliate or extort.
- Repeated contact after someone has blocked you or asked you to stop, through alternate accounts or off-platform pressure.
Live streaming and real-time risk
Live formats are immediate: chat, callers, screen shares, and guests can introduce risk fast. Streamers remain responsible for what appears on stream, including third-party audio or video.
- Moderate chat and guests when your format allows unfiltered input.
- Comply with broadcasting, music licensing, and safety laws in your jurisdiction.
- Follow platform-exclusive and session-bound streaming rules in product documentation and in our Streaming Compliance policy.
If a guest violates these Standards, end the segment, remove the content, and report patterns that put others at risk.
